The Economic Institute jointly with the Yegor Gaidar Foundation, Russia, successfully held an international conference on “Challenges of Trans-Eurasian integration: Russia and Mongolia in the context of the China-Mongolia-Russia economic corridor” on September 12, 2019. Russian, Mongolian, Swedish and Korean academics and researchers presented their research findings. With assistance of the Gaidar foundation a Mongolian edition of Yegor Gaidar’s book “Collapse of an Empire. Lessons for Modern Russia”, translated by D. Ganbold, was presented. Trans-Eurasian economic integration, the present Mongolian economy, challenges and opportunities were discussed. Reflecting from the scientific basis on history of economic life in both countries in the past 30 years, problems and barriers faced in the course of development makes a great contribution to the future development policy planning. The conference also provided an opportunity for further cooperation and increased collaboration of researchers.
