At the time when the world is trying to adapt to the new way of life caused by the COVID-19 epidemic, in the face of the challenges of adapting to the new lifestyle, redesigning, and changing attitudes, the Economic Institute, NUM, organized a an online conference and webinar on “Clusters and the New Normal for Asia” in the NUM library on July 6-7, 2020. Presenters from Europe, Asia, Latin America delivered presentations on cluster development in the context of a new coronavirus infection, issues to be addressed in overcoming the crisis, and transition to a new normal environment, concepts of new normal and problems of cluster development faced by Asian countries were discussed during the conference. Interesting presentations were made on changes in modern teaching methodology- advantages and disadvantages of online teaching and ways to enhance it.
The webinar for entrepreneurs, cluster researchers and enthusiasts was led by Patricia Valdenebro, CEO of TCI Global. Businessmen, cluster experts and researchers shared their opinions on cooperation of cluster businesses in real life, opportunities to support effective cooperation, practical solutions and shared findings of research on Asian clusters trends.
The present online conference and webinar were organized by the Economic Institute, NUM, with support from the National Development Agency, the MOC (Microeconomics of Competitiveness) Asian Chapter representing the Harvard MOC and TCI Asia Board of Directors, the Cluster Initiative (TCI Global Network).
